Our approach to development is also a shared perspective. This approach is borne of a mixture of positive and not so positive experiences. The positive experiences include success in various roles and in various sectors; in particular, success in achieving organisation objectives through the development of others that often resulted in us witnessing transformational change in our teams and our organisations.
The not so positive experiences include the times when we witnessed the stifling of transformational change through leaders and managers losing themselves in their organisations' processes. When the interaction between people in an organisation becomes purely transactional, driven by process, all chance of engagement at a meaningful level is lost.
Having decided to set up a business to allow us to focus on our passion for individual and organisation development, it wasn't hard for us to agree our core philosophy; summed up in our strap line — Beyond Process, Towards Meaning.
Next came the Bubble concept. Understanding that meaningful conversation lay at the heart of transformational change, we hit upon the idea of a speech bubble. This then evolved into a more generic bubble representing the need for individuals and organisations to create space for meaningful conversations.
Our purpose then is to help others find meaning in who they are becoming and in so doing, find new meaning for ourselves. In order to achieve this we will help organisations re-connect their people in meaningful conversation, taking them beyond transactional process, releasing that all important discretionary effort and with it creativity and innovation.
