It was over a year of thinking, conversations and planning before the bubble concept finally took form. I've always been able to come up with new perspectives and create new meaning from seemingly disparate areas of thinking, but it took longer than expected to get to a workable offering. Why? Well, I put that down to a couple of reasons.

Firstly, I had to be sure that my ideas and assumptions had credibility and that there would be a demand. I had to test and develop my ideas so I turned to trusted friends and colleagues for that. Inevitably the ideas evolved but they became stronger for it. One thing remained unchanged though: my unshakeable belief that developing individuals through reflective conversations was at the core of organisation development. It's how I've operated as a leader, manager, coach and colleague all through my career. I've seen my teams achieve incredible results, changing organisations for the better.

The second reason was the need for a strong team to work with. Reflecting on my career to-date, I recognise that my most successful and enjoyable periods were when I was working as part of, or leading, great teams. I had to find a great team. I knew it would mean the difference between a good business and a great one. I've found that team, and Nic and Roger are the first to come on board. Others will follow.

My passion for developing people began early in my career as a salesman in the Financial Services market. Since then a broad range of operational, management and senior leadership roles across various industry sectors, have all had one thing in common — my drive to create an environment where individuals achieve their potential. I've been fortunate in having the opportunity to work with some great business leaders.  They saw the value in their people and allowed me the freedom to develop my teams and the services they provided in ways that resulted in the creation of new and innovative approaches.

One of the most exciting periods in my career to-date was when I led and grew an L&D and HR function that contributed, in no small measure, to our organisation being placed 7th in the Sunday Times Best Companies listing. It was a year to remember.

I'm extremely excited to be on this journey of discovery and development with bubble. I have a great team who share my passion for development and who bring a broad range of proven experience. I have a purpose and a vision and through helping our client organisations, I'm looking forward to continuing my growth as an individual and as a leader

Early in my career I wanted to travel with my work. A role with British Airways allowed me to do just that and I got to meet and work with people from diverse backgrounds.  I gained a lifetime's worth of experience within a few years. But in the end, I realised that my values meant that I couldn't carry on being away from family and friends for so long. I moved into a training role with BA and signed up for my Certificate In Training Practice. I enjoyed it, really enjoyed it.  One part stood out, I got to coach.  Changing behaviors and perceptions through conversation.

I made a decision that my career going forward would be focused on developing people and since then I've trained, coached and facilitated in various dynamic, demanding roles. I also led a highly rated and successful training and development team of my own and loved every minute of it. 

Few things matter to me more than the relationships I have. From Dan and Zak, my husband and son, and close family, to long lost friends, and clients that I'm with for a short while.  Every encounter that makes up a day is something that I treasure. I love talking with people, building up a dialogue. That is what its about for me.  I love talking, and hearing other's stories. 

I honestly believe that you can change people's lives through conversation.  I've seen it happen in front of my eyes.  People change in an instant. You can get people to achieve the unthinkable by showing them that you believe in their abilities.  That belief builds courage and from that, they have a springboard to release their true potential.  You can watch the development and growth occur in front of your eyes. It's perhaps the most rewarding experience.  I also get that from the experiences that I share with Dan and Zak.  I feel truly blessed.  I love spending time with them, from the normality of home life, to a dream vacation in Barbados.  It's my favorite environment.

I've been asked: "Why did I choose bubble?" I find myself amongst people here who bring something individual to the table, but they share a common belief: that human beings can be developed so that they can achieve amazing results, and it can be done through great conversations. It really is as simple as that.
